The conveyor belt scale can be employed as a means to optimize the use of raw materials and to help manufacture uniform products. A good conveyor belt must be easy to install and require little maintenance. Reliable conveyor belt scales reproduce results with accuracy, minimum hysteresis, and exhibit an excellent linear regime, without error upon loading on the sides. Overload protection of the load cell is another feature to look for in a conveyor belt. The weighing scale system in common conveyor belts is similar to a truck scale. The load cells weigh the material placed on the belt, sending a signal to the display or the transmitter. After processing the signal, the transmitter or the display delivers the accurate weight data to the PLC or any central processing system via an RS485(TML1210,WI610) or RS232(WI620) port or the analog (TLA1310,WI630) output. Moreover, an encoder reports the conveyor belt travel speed to the PLC. The PLC can calculate the passing material flow rate and the total amount of passing material by simple mathematics.
